400w Radium 20,000k Metal halide bulb
German made Radium 20,000K provides excellent coloration and intensity. Brings out fluorescent pigments in corals nicely. Magnetic pulse start, HQI, or an electronic ballast is required to ignite this lamp. It will burn bluer on an electronic or pulse start ballast.

The Radium bulb is a European bulb made for European ballasts (220/240V). We recommend you use a 400w pulse start ballast (ANSI M135) for the Radium because they provide a higher starting voltage and use an igniter to assure lamp start. It is out experience that M59 probe start ballasts can have problems with these bulbs flickering, and not starting properly.
